Do you defy a stereotype? Are you like an open book and do you have valuable experiences that Readers could benefit from learning about? Are you motivated to help challenge stigma and stereotypes through dialogue and personal conversations? Then maybe you can become an Open Book and engage in conversations with our Readers. We can promise that volunteering with the Human Library is more than you expect and something you will never forget. It is also an opportunity to meet a lot of people that are different from you, and yet you will find you share a lot in common.

Please list a few examples of times you have met discrimination or prejudice in relation to your Book Title. (Ex: At the workplace, in personal relationships, in contact with authority figures, in healthcare, at school, in society in general.)

Would you like to place a bin in the library to collect donated items for a non-profit? Please tell us more about your drive, and we will respond promptly to your request.

We try to ensure that library visitors can easily determine key facts about the drive.  With that in mind, we ask that bins be provided with information attached.

Moorestown Library patrons are very generous, so collection drives are usually successful. This requires the bin to be emptied regularly to keep the library lobby clear and to safeguard the donations.

The mission of the Friends of the Moorestown Library is to secure funding beyond the library’s operating budget, enabling us to offer enriching cultural and educational programs and to bolster our extensive collections.
